The 3rd Greatest SNES RPG of All Time:
Secret of Mana (1993)
What can be said about this game that hasn’t already been said.. A masterpiece from beginning to end. Obviously one of the most lovingly, intricately, and perfectly crafted titles to ever be released for any console. The story is epic, sweeping, fun, adventurous, and playful.. The graphics are lush, colorful, and downright gorgeous. Unlike the now tragic graphics of the PS1, the SNES still holds up today in all it’s 2d glory. You will STILL be impressed upon loading this game up. The gameplay is once again the hallmark of a good game and this one does not disappoint in any way. Where else can you play 2Player Co-op in an RPG? Where else can you both wack rabbits in the head with a stick.. in real-time? A hallmark of the genre that has never quite been duplicated. Also known as Seiken Densetsu 2 in Japan, those who are crafty will be able to find the sequel, Seiken Densetsu 3, which was never released in America. Also amazing.. But no Secret of Mana.
Perfect.
10/10
